BOOKING CONDITIONS

Payment

Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit for 30% of the rental price. (Full payment is required if booking within 60 days of departure.)
Balance of the holiday cost must be received not less than 60 days before departure.
When making your balance payment you will be required to put down a Damages Deposit which will be fully refundable (subject to terms listed below in 'Your Responsibilities').
If payments due are not received within the allocated time, we reserve the right to treat the holiday as cancelled by you. In this case your 30% deposit will not be refunded unless we are informed of your wish to cancel no less than 60 days before your departure.
Should you wish to amend your booking, we will do our best to satisfy your requirements. However changes to your holiday will be treated as a cancellation if alternative dates cannot be found.
Should you wish to cancel your booking at any time we reserve the right to retain your deposit if we are unable to resell your booking dates.

Your Responsibilities
You are responsible:

For the property and you are expected to take all reasonable care of it.
For leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition.
For any damage to the property and its contents which is caused by you, a member of your party, or any person you invite to the property.
We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance which provides personal liability protection.

Arrival & Departure

Rental takes affect from 12:00H on the day of arrival.
Rental finishes at 10:00H on the day of departure.

Party Size

Maximum occupancy will be advised at the time of booking and includes adults and children over 2 years, and may not be exceeded.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Arrival / Provisions

On arrival you will be met Daniela. We will ask you of your estimated arrival time when you confirm your booking. If you are delayed by more than half an hour we ask that you please phone to inform of the length of the delay. Please contact Daniela 00351 – 961854 555.

Some basic kitchen and bathroom essentials (drinking water, toilet paper etc) are provided, but remember that as you are 'self-catering' it may be advisable to bring some supplies with you.

Cleaning

A cleaner will come into the property mid week, and linens will be changed once a week. A washing machine is available should you wish to do your own laundry. Please treat the property as you would your own and tidy up before you leave. You will be asked to pay for extra cleaning if the property is left in an unreasonable condition.

Linen/Towels

Linens (sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels and tea towels) are provided. Pool/beach towels are not included. The owners ask that bath towels are not used by the pool or taken to the beach. Beds will be made up ready for your arrival. Cot linens, pillows and mosquito nets provided.

Water, gas & electricity (cost inclusive)

Please use water sparingly, as long dry summers in the Algarve mean that everyone must try to conserve water where possible. During spring and summer solar panel heating will provide ample hot water for washing up and showering. On cloudy winter days water may need to be heated by electric back-up, for which there will be no additional charge. Gas provided for hob and oven.

Heating

Firewood can be purchased from the owner for cooler spring evenings, and electric radiators are available for use in the bedrooms. Electricity costs are higher in Portugal than in the U.K. and the owners therefore ask that guests make a conscious effort to turn off radiators during the night or at times when they are out.

Television and video

Satellite television is restricted to 'free view' channels only.

Swimming & paddling pool

The pool at 'Palmeiras' will remain filtered and available for use from April to October, but will not be heated. As with all swimming pools without life guards, children/non-swimmers will need close supervision at all times.
